As long as you select GPT and not MBR as the partition type, you will be able to create rather large arrays. Mine is currently at 6 TB.

Oh, and to use GPT you will need Server 2003 sp1 or later, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008.
I think Vista has support too, but don't have that one to test.

I have a similar issue. I can't seem to get Ubuntu to install - do I need a special setting in my bios? This is for a 6TB array. Even during the install each question is REALLY slow - I tried disabling the frame buffer using 'nofb' during boot, but no dice.
